LOVE MAINTAINS LOYALTY

IS LOYALTY A VANISHING VIRTUE?

“Be devoted to one another." -- Romans 12:10

Where? Community, Employment, Citizenship, Marriages

Loyalty is the glue to relationships!

Love "always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres." -- I Cor. 13:7

QT: WHAT ARE QUALITIES OF A LASTING & LOYAL RELATIONSHIP?

#1 "LOVE ALWAYS PROTECTS!" -- I Corinthians 13:7a

"...Snatch others from the fire and save them...." -- Jude 23

#2 LOVE ALWAYS TRUSTS -- I Corinthians 13:7b

“Love believeth all things...." – I Corinthians 13:7b KJV

Love that trusts -- is not gullible!

Parents who set boundaries are not being disloyal, they are just being realistic!

Love that trusts -- is also generous!

It calls us to trust believe the best until proven different!

"They were unschooled and ordinary men!" – Acts 4:13

"Go into all the world and preach the gospel!" -- Mark 16:15

"Feed My Sheep!" -- John 21:17

#3 LOVE ALWAYS HOPES!

"Love always expects the best!“ – I Corinthians 13:7c Living Bible

Do you always hope for the best in people?

"...Encourage one another daily, as long as it is today....“ -- Hebrews 3:13

Encouragement needs presented daily to those who are dying for a little hope in their life!

In Luke 15, Jesus told the story of the Prodigal Son! His father saw him "while he still a long way of...ran to his son, threw his arms around him, and kissed him!" (vs 20) then threw a party!

#4 LOVE ALWAYS PERSEVERS!

"A friend is someone who walks in when everybody else walks out!"

“God demonstrated his love in this way, While we were still sinners, Christ died for us!” -- Romans 5:8

"There is a friend that sticks closer than a brother!" -- Proverbs 18:24

Jesus "endured the cross/scorning it shame & now seated at the right hand of the throne of God!" -- Hebrews 12:2

WILL YOU MAINTAIN YOUR LOYALTY to Jesus?

"I will never leave you nor forsake you!" -- Hebrews 13:5

"Be faithful unto death and you'll receive the crown of live." -- Revelation 2:10

“It will cost you to be loyal to Jesus, but it will also pay!"
